Had an awesome time yesterday doing the Lord of the Rungs Level 1 climb. Awesome views from the top. Our guide was great, made sure we felt safe and comfortable and was very patient with my photo shot stops throughout the climb. Also took awesome pics for us. What an incredible experience.
I was so nervous about doing Wildwire I actually didn’t want to even think about it. Not long after I arrived and completed the practice wall, I felt immediately comfortable and safe. Laurel the owner took us on our journey up the Lord of the Rungs L1 experience. It takes around 5 hours and includes a stop for a picnic lunch up the top 🙌🏻 (BYO some sammies).
Wildwire is suitable for anyone who has a wee sense of adventure and is keen to push their limits. I’m scared of swing bridges and I overcame my fear and absolutely LOVED it. Put Wildwire on your to do list, you won’t regret it.

Amazing experience with the team at Wildwire, climbed level 2 and were able to go at our own pace with constant reassurance from the guides. Wildwire is a great way to test yourself in a very safe and fun environment. Highly recommend it if you’re in Wanaka and in need of an activity but also I’d travel to Wanaka just for Wildwire itself. Always opt for level 2 or 3 level 1 just won’t cut it you’ll be left wanting more! 👌🏼
